Ninety days is not a shopping list. It is 2,160 hours of keeping people alive, supplied, informed, healthy, and reasonably secure when normal services may not return on your schedule. Your house must function as a system: water requires storage and treatment; food requires cooking and sanitation; a generator requires fuel, safe wiring, maintenance, and a realistic load plan.

This guide is a civilian planning framework, not a claim that any specific Pentagon initiative mandates a 90-day household standard. Use 72 hours as the immediate test, 14 days as the first operational goal, 30 days as the next milestone, and 90 days as the long-term objective.
